This photograph taken on location on the set of National Geographic Channel’s ICE HOLES by Series Creator & Executive Producer Steve Marsel is of the “shanty town” where shooting was taking place. It was taken on Saturday January 18th, 2014 near Meredith Center on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. This was taken during the filming of ICE HOLES Episode 102 “Now We’re Cookin”. A light snow had fallen the night before and the light winds would pick the dry flakes up into the air and create halos around the sun. In the distance you can see the film crew lined up like solders. Being out on the ice like that early in the morning, especially after a fresh snow is really delightful, so pristine. In this episode the guys find some time to relax on Lake Winnipesaukee during their break from competition. Meredith New Hampshire is a great place to visit! ICE HOLES airs Fridays on National Geographic Channel. For more of Steve Marsel’s Photography, please visit https://www.stevemarselstudio.com
